Cold Dross Cooling Drum

The cooling and screening drum rapidly cools hot aluminum dross, screens it and separates particles using water spray or immersion cooling. It usually connects to a rotary furnace, so discharge conveying, dust collection and workshop layout must be confirmed with the cooling duty.

Selection points

  • Hot-dross quantity per batch or hour and inlet temperature
  • Target outlet temperature and water-spray or immersion cooling method
  • Screen size, separation target and downstream material handling
  • Dust-collection conditions and workshop layout
  • Power, controls and safety requirements
