Scrap Preheating and Decoating

This category is limited to the pretreatment stage before aluminum scrap enters a melting furnace. The documented rotary kiln continuously combines drying, deoiling, decoating and preheating in a sealed system; a project can include feeding, low-oxygen treatment, secondary combustion, heat recovery, discharge conveying and PLC controls. When this pretreatment stage fits

  • The feed is UBC, aluminum scrap, chips or alloy offcuts with moisture, oil or coatings
  • Continuous drying, deoiling, decoating and preheating are required before melting
  • Secondary combustion and recovered flue-gas heat can be incorporated into the project
  • The required capacity fits the published 1–3, 3–5, 5–8 or 8–10 t/h model range

Confirm before selection

  • Feedstock type, bulk density, oil or coating content and moisture level
  • Required hourly throughput, operating schedule and target discharge temperature
  • Available fuel or usable furnace flue-gas conditions
  • Feeding, discharge conveying and downstream melting arrangement
  • Local emission, power, control and safety requirements
